DON'T UPGRADE TO 4.2

I upgraded, and I see nothing wrong with my wii. I can play my games good, and I reserved a copy of Band Hero and I am sre I will not see any difficulty when I put it in my wii for the first time when I go get the game from Movie Gallery

Yeah it's been a problem on some Wii's, I'm not sure if they fixed it or not though but I'm pretty sure they have done something.

Yes on the nintendo forums NOA_TECH_JANE if your Wii was bricked by 4.2, and was not modded, they would fix it for free, but then she changed it and stupid nintendo wants me to pay $85, to fix it, which im not going to pay. They say the Wii does that and it happens like the Wind, what a load of Crap.

No guys, Itachi is right- this is potentially dangerous. I dunno if you guys read what I posted, but due to the nature and instability of this update, if anything causes it to stop mid-update the Wii is bricked, period. It's Nintendo's failed attempt to get rid of bootmii.

I am never updating i dont need the new updates for the games. my wii's blue light is flashing but it still works. so it doesnt matter to me.
But if it gets bricked. im buying a new one and getting everything back and gonna hack into their stupid database if i have to. Done done and done.
You betta watch it nintendo, Oh and if i do get into the database im just gonna remove 4.2 and those gay stupid updates well no, i will change the updates so it has no effects on the hbc. if i know how to

Or, you can download the update yourself and run it from the SD card in a safe enviroment with a backup battery or something. Or you could just use a disc update blocker and install all the IOS from the update yourself. The boot2 update isn't actually necessary; it doesn't change anything really at all from the last version, it was just designed to get rid of BootMii.

Yes what CT said is correct this unecessary update can brick your Wii though it did to mine, so better safe than sorry for those who havent updated
