WOA Member Reputation system

well, i know we've had it 4 a while, but i thougt id make this topic 2 explain 2 new members or any1 else who didnt know yet.

if u take a look in any post u make, to the left where ur avatar, WOA Dollars, and other profile information are located, you will see a little section labeled "Rep"

This is a system we have that allows members 2 rate other members and even mods and admin.

to the right of each persons posts, there is a little + and - sign. If u see a member, mod or admin doing something to help out WOA, such as giving advice 2 another member who needs it, making sumthing for another member or for the site, giving good ideas for the clan........maybe planning a successfull event for the clan...........or even if they just did YOU a personal favor..........ANYTHING that is a positive thing done for the clan or another member................. even just being the responsible person in an argument, or maybe if u notice sum1 is posting a lot....ANYTHING................when u see these things you can click the little + icon to the right of a persons post and it will make their rep go up one point.

and if they did sumthing REALLY good and deserve it a lot, you can click the "thanks" button at the top of their post and make their rep go up THREE points!

likewise, if u see sum1 posting short posts all the time just 2 get WOA dollars and to up their post count, or if u see them flaming peoples interests or the ppl themself....any kind of spamming, flaming and/or degrating ppl, or ANYTHING else viewed as negative........you can click the little - sign to the left of their post, and make their rep go down 1 point.

This system will effectively show how active, responsible, friendly and helpful each member is. A rating system basen on what YOU guys think of ppl and what they do 4 the clan. The only way ppls reps will ever get high is if they get themselves noticed by helping out and staying active, friendly and responsible.

So far, i think it has worked out great! Each persons rep almost perfectly represents how active they are and how much they do around here

I don't think asking for rep will get you any.... rep is supposed to be a quality control mechanism, if you think a persons post is good and full of useful information then you cast your vote on that post... rep should not be a popularity contest.

lloyd im sorry 2 tell u.......ppl DO vote dude.....ppl who are friendly and helpfull have high reps, if u didnt notice man...i think the reps are about where they should b. we havent had the system that long. what did u expect every1s rep 2 just skyrocket in 2 weeks? for the amount of things that ppl do, i think the reps are right where they should be atm.....they havent had enuff time 2 get really high yet

well i give a lot of useful adive and stuff like that yet i still dont get many votes

The rep system doesn't perfectly respresent activity but it does represent it.... kinda... it cant be perfect

in xbox live i have 5 rep. and idk how i got it. i just was kicking ppl's asses in cod4. maybe thats why XD!
