A virus coming to the computer!

Did u hear bout the virus coming to the computer on april 1st on the news. Its probably an april fools trick. But if its not, u need to get ur self an antivirus protection

check out MSN they have a story about that virus, and its not as big as you think it is.

I never believed it anyway. It was when I found out about the "April 1" that I just laughed.

no drew this virus was real and i saved over 50,000 comps from it cause my anit virus destroyed most of this worldwide virus.

actually the virus is called conficker thers 3 varients btw the one ur talking about is the 3rd Conficker C and i doubt ur antivirus destroyed all that malware..... cuz it cant it regenerates and if its already on ur comp april 1st was the d-day conficker has just updated itself and gotten much stronger and harder to destroy... a good way to chek if u hav the virus is to chek ur antivirus and see if its stil working if it isnt then u probly hav conficker... o and on a side note conficker only attacks computers that operate using windows of any version.... it does not affect opera, firefox, etc.

yes it does...its affects the system not the browser.

But yes i destroyed almost 60% of the virus and destroying that much at once it will take it over a year to get back to full power and by then prolly it would be destroyed by some1 else.

sorry i hav to clarify a bit more it seems.... thers an error on the windows operating system that allows the virus to get in does that help? the error isnt on any other system however.... but i still doubt u destroyed the virus.... cuz it cant be destroyed yet... no1 knows how it can only be removed even the best computer geeks r still trying to figure out how to take it out and what its gonna do etc.

Well like i said i didnt destroy it, my anti virus just pwns. so get that through ur head that only 40% of it is out there and it will be gone by the end of the year or in a couple of months.

And the hole in the Windows operatiing system is mainly cause the fact that the system files are installed to a Hard drive lets the virus get in isntead of a Mac that installs it to a seperate component.

true enough.... and thers a patch to fix the windows thing if uve been running ur windows update thing u should be fine so thers really not much of a reason to worry... unless u already hav it

opera and firefox r internet browsers, windows is not. windows is the operating system

and i have mcafee installed and since this virus is most likely a keylogger i have an add-on installed to hide my key movements

i kno windows is an operating system... but it only affects u if u use windows internet explorer alright? get it thru ur head ONLY WINDOWS!!! geez....

no it doesnt, the browser doesnt affect anything. its the fact that the operating system is installed to the hard drive.

My AOL web browser has built-in security as well. It's actually PART of the browser.

mcafee is my security system, it's built into my browser
