Permanent Owner? help me decide guys -drew.........this number will be sooooo high, if they actually get there, and still arent an owner.....its must only b because there hasnt been an opening 4 them. a number sooo high, they will almost DEFINETLY deserve it. This will b for members who are truly deserving, but just keep getting left out because of no openings available.
They would also be on like a 3 month probation period just 2 MAKE SURE they will make a good power figure to represent WOA.
This reward will make it so every1 knows........even if there is NO opening........if they really, really, seriously, ABSOLUTELY deserve owner or mod.....u can get it eventually....open spot or not. That may do a lot 4 the morale of people who feel like they do a lot 4 us but kept getting jipped of the spot they deserve....if they really deserve it, they can get it no matter what. And the number will b so high, like i said...only truley worthy ppl will ever each it, so we wont have 2 worry about a flood of new owners or nothing.....this will rarely happen, if ever...just a safety precaution for our loyal members. what do u all think?????

not so much a horrible idea....heres my theory

the price for those wont be cheap........like say.......recruiting 5 members and 500 non spam posts..........any1 that can actually do that will b at least decent im sure. then theres the fact that there will b real owners here 2 watch over them and if they abuse it even once, it will be taken away whether they earned it or not

that will b like...the HUGE prizes.......then we can also sell things like special colors for ur name, special titles, and special userbars that they can permanately show off 2 show their loyalty and dedication 2 WOA

just the fact that you earned enough points to actually have enough to buy it means u must be on the right path and doing the right things to become an owner 1 day

butt sadly, there are only so many spots.........i wish i could make every1 owner who deserved it, but there can only b so many, i cant do that. i have to give it 2 the best person 4 the job

we already have 4 owners so either sum1 quits which isnt likely, or the clan gets bigger and a spot opens up. even then, its only 1 spot.......there are a few ppl who might b able 2 make a case 4 it.....then the others, even tho deserving they may very well b, cant get owner

it sux but thats just the way it is....whoever is most qualified must get the position. the Supply of loyal dedicated friendly ppl is just way 2 much for the demand 4 owners
but i will say, those truly committed ....truly.....will make it 1 day, its just a matter of time

Just some feedback on the color options: Perhaps we should have it so people can pick any color they want? Can't you do that simply with HTML and the number codes, or is it differend on forumotion? :pirat:

Also, will there be "Elite" ranks for other groups too? (Mods, S Mods, Admin, etc)

I personally don't like that. Someone could be active as heck, but still not have the qualities needed to be a mod or owner. Having the wrong people in power could potentially be disasterous. And if people ended up getting those, they might take away chances from the people who might actually deserve the position and earn it from the sweat of their own brow.

And besides, we're a democracy and people have to be elected into power by a vote, not for having the most money.

I think we should just stick to the 1-day mod/owner ones.

I think instead of permanent mod, we should have a seperate set of ranks that members can climb up on their own. And then only the Admins and Mods can decide who will be the next Admin or Mod. What I'm trying to say is this:

Here are the current ranks in WOA:

Members
Moderators
Administrators

I think that we should add ranks for members like so:

And so on... give them cool names, not numbers

Require a certain number of points for each rank. Members can buy the ranks 1-8 instead of mod or admin.

And allow members to apply to become a moderator or admin. We would make an application form for them, and we would have set requirements to become a mod, such as being in the clan for more than a month, required to have "rank 4" or higher...etc

That way, members will have an incentive to post... but also if they are just spammers, they won't spam their way to admin status... if they apply they will be kindly rejected

Also we could award points for winning tournaments, going to clan wars, going to practices, or stuff like that.

So what do you guys think? :D

NOTES ABOUT BUYING RANKS:
-Cannot skip ranks, u must buy them in order, 1-8

-After you reach Rank 4, you can then apply to become a moderator if you already are'nt one.

-After you reach Rank 8, You may then apply to become an Administrator

-Even if you reach rank 8....if u havent made at least mod yet, you are not eligable 2 apply for admin yet, regardles of the fact that youre rank 8

-When you reach the necessary rank and apply for a promotion, we will then have an admin/mod only vote to see if you make the cut. If not enough admins or mods vote yes, you will be kindly rejected, but u are welcome 2 re-apply later

-With promotions 2 power positions such as mod or admin, the person being promoted must post in the topic that explains the duties of that position. That will act as your signature, stating that u have read it and know your responsibilities.
