Basement Flooded :( Empty Basement Flooded :(

Post by DarkPeanut Wed Dec 01, 2010 7:03 pm

the basement of my house has tile flooring couches a recliner 48" TV computer xbox and wii it had about 2" of water in it last night and we got that water out and took the wii xbox and computer upstairs so it didnt get wet the next morning i woke up and checked the basement and i had to yell up at my mom to call some people to help her cuz there was about half a foot of water then. i couldnt have stayed and help cuz i had school. i just got finishing replacing everything in my room and got the internet to work. as of right now the computer and wii works fine and im waiting for awhile to try the xbox cuz the powerbox had some water in it i think i got it all out but im gonna wait til tomorrow to try it just to be on the safe side. now all of my stuff is crammed in my room on one of those tables you fold the legs up. i believe all of the furniture and the TV is lost sadly but ill still be able to come here and play the wii and hopefully play xbox too.

that sucks so much reminds me how my basement got flooded.. 4ft! and my uncle was floating around on his air bed, that was pretty funny but we lost our furniture 50" inch television and our playstation, this happened many years ago when the PS1 came out.
well i recommend you do not turn on the power at all on the xbox until 2 days from now as you said water got in, so there maybe water still in there, and the bad thing is you cant open as we all know how 360 breaks so easily, so i hope it still works!

lol not to be rude but I don't have a basement, which is both a relief and a pain. no floods, but no tornado hideout. but yeah, that sucks when a basement floods. mildew=nasty

That's pretty unfortunate. I have had an event like that happen to me only once, and I believe you, it is no fun. Hope everything returns to normal for you soon.
