WOA's Official Banner Poll

As Many of You know Drew wished for XOA (xbox ownage army) and WOA to be the same clan so he asked all of us gfx members to participate in an event to have a new banner made

A banner was eventualy chosen and in the end, we put up the banner that we have right now ( during this post )
However, XOA wasnt and shall not be established

It was eventualy talked over and we established a new banner idea to the gfx members of the clan. and everything has finaly been submitted.


The Decision is Very Important, so Ive enabled the choice. If You Change Your Mind on Your Pick, You may make a different decision.

I actually found a tiny mistake in the image just now that i wish to correct.
The untrained eye may not actually be able to see it, but for me, it threw off the entire composition.

I say either ender or sasori's
Reasons:
Slick: Nice addition with yoshi, and great effect in the middle with the Mario Bros.

Ender: Very good graphics and effects, plus, I like how we're using slash my fav guitarist of the Old Guns N' Roses
but how he used Joe Perry from Aerosmith looks really cool!

So, I go for either one of those, which ever does, I'll be happy

EDIT: Being that i saw the results, looks like ender is gonna win lol

We could make all of the banners into a GIF and just have them all cycle through. But I'm not sure if banners can be animated gifs...?

Basically, Im OK with either me or Koz. That is for these reasons:

My banner actually looks good I jest. But seriously, everyone else literally just pasted renders on top of stock backgrounds or pasted renders over simple made BGS...except for Koz who pasted HIGH QUALITY renders on top of a stylish self made BG.

But yeah, Slick's little shine emphasis is cool.

i find shiki's deserves some creadit its pretty well even with weight on either side

yeah that's true. I like shiki's, but the composition is off with the huge renders on the right. Pretty nice BG tho. I'm glad he finally got out of his C4D rut.

there are really good if it was a way to integrate them all together that would be nice

yea they can be animated. I did one for UMC (a old clan i was in) once upon a time. I find that static banners tend to look alot better though. (but i guess that's just me.)

yeah it can be animated, its pretty simple actually

Hmmmm...while I certaintly understand the sentiment behind the GIF idea (heck, it was mine), what Koz says is true: static images have a better resolution and appeal more to the eye. Even the best optimized GIFs have pixelation/grain and dont look very good...which is kind of the point of a banner.

But if people really want to, we could take it to a vote too


Anyway, if we do go with the GIF, it will probably have to be made into a higher quality than the example, although the base does a good job of portraying the concept.

Oh and if we do go along with the gif we have to put shikis last cause his is the biggest height wise as you can see part of shikis is still showing when slicks goes on.

If we wanted to have more than one banner, than a banner rotation code would work better then compressing it all into one file.

ahh! Indeed! But I still think one, static banner would be more aesthetically pleasing. Did I spell that right?
