Issue with spam.

In regard to the forum posting games section.
I was absolutely fine with that section until the points system came up. Some of the topics in there really are just spam and NOTHING else. Getting points for posting there (which I'm pretty sure you do) just seems ridiculous to me.
It could also endorse a lack of activity elsewhere in the forums.
People might want to gravitate towards that section for easy post count and points.
It also completely overtakes the Latest Topics thingamajigger extremely often. I often can't find my extremely recent topic in that list 5 minutes after I've posted because of these forum games.

Members will no longer receive points for posting in the forum posting games section. I thought I made it that way before but lloyd rly set most of the values for the points so I'll just change that back

well we do stuff off topic but we cant just talk bout the wii all the time, it will start getting boring just talking bout it 24/7 (no offense). plus we're supposed to have fun... and ik this bothers u but just have fun.

Hey, I have PLENTY of fun on all of the other forum sections.
I'm not talking about Off-topic posts, I'm talking about posts that you don't have to even think about to make.
Being specific, the countdown topics are a huge chunk of what I'm talking about.

It doesn't matter, whatever it is, it used to be free points just waiting to happen. So it isn't anymore

The posts will still be added to your post count. But you don't get points, the points should be given to people who aren't making mindless posts like in the Forum Posting Games section.

It was spam for some people. I recall some people (not naming names) saying "Let's go to the CD topics and post!" and they did. They went to the countdown posts and rapidly posted.

It differs between people, but it's the people who DO spam there just for the points that give us reason to make the section get you no points. It's the only way to stop the spam, and we can't just make it that way for the spammers, or it'd be unfair.

I never thought that the forum posting games we're worth anything but it's fun to post anywhere but the games are pretty kool. Spam is annoying there but it isn't for self benefit seeing as you get no points for it

well we could still give it points to the ppl that dont spam but then we just have to watch it every now and then and make sure ppl do that. if they do we take away the points they earned.

no u need a forum worth no points that u can just spam around in as long as you don't double post and annoy people

well if they did double post and that stuff they would be warned and then eventually banned. plus they would lose points.

It did. When you give someone negative rep, they lose one WOA dollar, and if you positive rep them, they gain one.

I fully agree, I find some of these Forum games to be repetitive and full of fillers. I think that the Forum game section should not count toward anything, not post count, not toward rep, or earning money...unless they win the game. that's not increase activity...that's just inflated activity...which is very unhonest and deceitful.

also I also think the rep system is corrupted and pointless, this only acts as a popularity contest and is easy manipulated. we should be at a forum where we don't have to be afraid of what we say without being crucified... I understand when post is bad, and I don't need a rep system to tell me a post is bad.... there is no need for the rep system in my opinion and people rarely use it. another thing is when WOA dollars are involved, it makes corrupting the system even more tempting for other members...
