New Wii Update

Nintendo just released a great new update for the wii. It allows you to use channels that are saved in your SD card. Not only is this convenient, it also allows you to have MORE VC games and use LESS wii memory. :D

There's also an updated Wii Speak channel that you can download from the shop channel. (You have to ipdate it from your previously downloaded list, it's the only place you can find it)

NOTE: The updated version of Wii Speak cannot communicate with the old version. So say if i update, and drew hasnt, we wont be able to use wii speak together.


NOTE: Grim just to add on, they are also gonna add another update shortly to also be able to launch games saves from your Card.

Most game saves you can't even put in an SD card.

yea i seen the update all of a sudden on my menu...checked it out real quick and it looks pretty sweet!

its only because its info that cant be copied because it needs either a mii or info from your wii. but there is a homebrew app that lets u copy the saves to an SD card.

I'll pass, saves don't take up much of my memory anyway. It's the CHANNELS that eat large chunks of it.

is it important for every1 here who has wii speak to hav the update downloaded?

I like the new update, EASY access to the sd card!

i updated my wii. and good thing is DVDx and Homebrew r kept so i can keep playing downloaded games. =D

i still havent updated my wii yet but i might soon..

DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I COULD HAVE USED THIS DAMN UPDATE in almost precisely 365 days ago. i used my wii points card and bought like, 3-4 games, put them on an sd card. i come home, THEY WONT GO ON MY WII, AND I WAS NOT HAPPY AT ALL.
