Pokemon White/Black

I managed to get my [cyber] hands on Partially-translated ROMs of Pokemon White and Black, so I thought I'd share my observations so far on the game (without any spoilers). I'm pretty far...around the 4th gym.

So yeah, one thing that annoyed me is that the "mysterious trainer" in the game comes up to you and says "My name is N". The first thing that came to mind is "Oh gawd, Death Note reference" and I still think that whenever he comes up.

The character's movement when picking up an item is a complete rip-off of Zelda. (Putting one hand into the air as it says "You obtained ---")

Aside from those couple of annoying bits, the gameplay is great as usual for Pokemon games. I like the layout and graphics, and some of the new Pokemon are pretty epic, but there's a lack of creativity in a lot of the new ones I think. The plot's also the generic "get the badges and fight the Elite Four while beating an evil organization with some obvious plan that involves legendaries and most likely backfires blah blah blah", but there's a twist...you have TWO rivals. *dun dun dun* (lolz)

Basically, it's a great game, but it doesn't have that same special awesomeness that the older versions had. They need to switch things up a bit instead of repeating the same plot over and over and having the new Pokemon get lamer and lamer.

The last Pokemon title that I have played was Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition. From all the other game's I have read up about, it seems that the game's plot remains largely unchanged, and that usually isn't terrible.

This particular game has sparked my interest, I may invenst some money and actually get myself a copy when it comes out.

COMPLETED WHITE but not black because i still cant figure out how to beat some guy >_> its diff on the games

BUT its an epic game, and the graphics are a major step up from the previous games

i hate half of the new pokemon though :Y

and that knight thing, i mean seriously ._.

other then that its a great game

So anyway aside from that I thought the starters were kind of terrible too ._.
If I ran through it I'd probably only use Ononokuso when I found one and the one that looks like a Power Ranger :U

NO, THE WATER STARTER IS AWESOME!!111!!1!!!!1!!

Sea Otters are one of my two favorite animals (along with Foxes, which they have a new Pokemon for, too) so I absolutely love it. <3 The Grass Snake is pretty cool too, but I'm not a big fan of the Pig one.

It's a lot of the other new ones I dislike though...they just seem kinda laaame.

It works just as well on my laptop though, especially with my tablet. (Pretty much a touch screen and stylus, but larger xD)

look for it on the net but be sure to not get scammed because there are alot of imitations,

when I get Pokemon White, I'm gonna choose Mijumaru lol


then I'll trade to get Tsutarja

I think it looks pretty great, and I love the new battle systems, can't wait to get my hands on it!

I cant wait to get the English translation of the names. The direct translations just arent the same thing...

To be honest, I like the Japanese names. xD The English ones are going to be pretty lame, probably.

I have been considering making a ghost team. Always wanted one, but there were never enough cool ones till now...this will prolly be my post champ team, as I am working on a more well rounded team as per usual. Not that I'm against it, but why have the last 3 fire starters been fire/fighting??
