YackPack- voice speak on portal

It's a site feature one of my old clans used. Basically it allows people who have mics to speak to other people with mics. There was a small version where you could use it on the same page as a chatbox so that you could talk and the people on the chatbox could hear you. It may slow down the page or have other problems and may be attacked by spammers but if you want to hear someone else's voice without the wiispeak then that's one way to do it. Strange thing is the owner of my clan that had it sang into it atleast once a week. It was creepy. If you know more about the yack pack tell us what you know about it.

Quite interesting but I don't want someone singing because it will creep me out .

It sounds cool, as long as it has a mute button.

And the random xaters access our chatbox from xat.com, not our portal, so they wouldn't be able to talk unless they were to come to our actual site.

sounds like a great idea. but mute would be good. i dont want to have my ears bleed when someone like grim or seph sing.

from what i remember there is a sleep button on the small version. I guess that counts as a mute.

Hm. What kind of mic does it have to be. Cuz i have a GH WT Mic and a Mic that came with this keyboard i got for christmas. :S

We used to use skype from time to time, personally I think it would be easier using skype. But it's a thought.

although there's is the group of people that don't have skype, so they wouldn't be able to join in
plus, it'll be really annoying to have to add everyone on your skype just so they can join your call =P

I don't know what kind but i think its one that has to be able to connect to the computer. I don't know anything else.

My sister's American Idol mic from the wii game can connect to the comp, so I'm sure a GH one can. They're not really mics for picking up voice as much as pitch though, so your voice probably won't go through well. The mics that are best suited for chatting are ones that are meant to be used in unison with a webcam.

a headset would probably work best.

a head set. i had one but it tore up unfortunatly but we fixed it a little, but i dont have it pretty much no more. so i could use some kindof mic i have. But I'll see what i can do

I could use wii speak, lol. Or GH mic

Other than that I don't have a mic.

U told me about this. I think this could benefit us really well.
