Grimmy I dont want to be against your opinion but thats what the game is about! If you want to race without luck/items then buy your normal race games like need for speed or something like that (dont know much racing games but Im sure there are)

In my opinion I like all the items cuz, just as Grimmy said, its based partially on luck and thats what makes it fun to play ^_^ I say partially cuz it also depends on your driving skillz and the way you manage to recover from the attacks XP

Items also depend of skill. Some of them. Like the mushrooms, or green shell

that they do.. maybe if you could chose which items u want i'd choose those 2 (Y)
