He sits in the dungeon
Feeling alone
He sits on that chair, like a king on his throne
His eyes a deep red
his hair a long silked black
he wears a red suit
now who could be that?


(yea, I know its not that good, it just popped into my mind)

i wrote a song (songs are poems)

1st Verse
We know Jesus as a Savior
But for a time I wasn't sure
Then I heard a preacher say, "Just put your trust in him"
And from then I was a fish to a lure
That next Sunday I had this feeling
Like a voice speaking to me
I knelt down on one knee
and now I gladly See

He saved my soul
He gave me life
All of which he gave to me
To live with him in eternal life
Now I shout with glee!
Since that day he saved me from sin
Now I'm born again!

I used to be that beggar
Knowing nothing of his grace
But after that blessed Sunday
Hearing someone talk to me
I found my self hittin' the alter
I finally won the race

I know but this is the first song I actually wrote and finished and I really want to share it!

You know what bothers me
Those artsy "deep" poems
They just cut off
sentences at the weirdest spots,
and don't rhyme,
And rarely have rhythm.
Just going on about some,
deep message or something.

As I continue
You read and count syllables

"Masquerade"

A masquerade, a masquerade,
a masquerade this was!
The crowd, The cause,
to contribute with applause!

Join the parade, Join the parade,
all shall enter the fray!
They shout, they sang: "hip hip hooray!"
"Let us cling together, Let us seize the day!"

All a charade, all a charade,
many had stories to tell.
Save for one, constrained to the cell.
but no one cared for the guy that fell.

Each Betrayed, each betrayed,
behind masks none need to pause.
Given freedom, they bare their claws,
stabbing each other to expose their flaws.

We're dismayed, we're dismayed,
the gathered masses say.
"This was my time, this was the way!"
"All was suppose to be in play!"

Afraid, afraid,
his words rang like a bell.
The outcast who suffered, told all from his jail,
he was alone and truly in hell.
