What the F%@#, YouTube.

Alright. This seriously pisses me off. So apparently even placing a song in a video screams COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT THEY CAN'T USE IT at YouTube owners. What the F%@#? I can't even make a simple F%@# video and add a song to make it not boring without this shit? Can anyone explain to me how to get them to leave me and my videos the F%@# alone? I've honestly rarely been as pissed off as now.

This is what I tried to upload. I don't even get this copyright process shit. I swear people sit on their asses looking for random videos that contain even a clip of a song to throw copyright at. I have it on all my Guitar Hero and Rock Band videos too.


EDIT: I WON. DEAR GOD I SENT A DISPUTE AND SOMEHOW THE VIDEO WORKS AGAIN.
I'm not sure. But that made me happy.

People make mistakes.

I doubt mistakes happen on every video I post with a song in it.

It's not as though it's the same guy who views and deletes every video of yours. One scenario is that another YouTube user has been flagging your videos and YouTube comes along and enforces it's policy. You in tern, make a complaint and another YouTube employee comes around and sees your videos as okay and reinstates the video. You are a victim of bureaucracy with a lack of a hive mind. Also, it isn't a clear cut as people think it is.

People do make mistakes, and somehow along the way there will be a victim in all of it. We're not always given what we want in situations like these, but if we do our best to make best of it, then everything will turn out fine. You took care of the problem and got your videos back, what more is there to ask?

At least, that's how this member sees it.

Anyway, I look at this topic and see it as you venting, and there isn't anything wrong with that.

YouTube is gay like that. If you ever saw the Smosh Pokemon Theme Song video...let's just say it was one of the most viewed videos on YouTube. It was amazing, too. And Classic. It was around for YEARS, and then boom: the Pokemon Company shuts it down for using the Pokemon Theme Song in a video. Poof: famous video gone.

People need to stop being such a$$holes about their music. So what if it's on Youtube? Someone could just go to a music-streaming site and listen to the song itself for free. Or hell, even illegally download it, which is much more of a problem than hearing so much as a clip of it during a video.

I thought it was only "illegal" if the entire song in it's original studio version was played on a video. Huh.

I don't care anyway. I stood up to the "man" and got my video unblocked.

Yes. I do.
But saying something's a parody does not give someone the right to freely use something that ISN'T theirs in that video.
