Paint.NET
Well, there are some things that I would like to clarify about the image-editing program Paint.NET.
When many people try PDN, they automatically assume that it sucks due to the lack of effects. It's true that it sucks in that state, but what makes it so great is that you can add effects to it. All you have to do is download the effects or effects package, and put it in your PDN's "Effects" folder. It makes SO HUGE of a difference, and gives it excellent capabilities.
I've installed probably around 30 effects onto mine, and it's great!
(If anyone wants the effects that I have compiled, I can gladly send you them via AIM)

I know there's a LOT, but you can take out any if you don't think they'd be useful.

Check out my gallery, that's ALL from PDN.
Re: Paint.NET
Meh, I use GIMP. I have PDN, but I don't really use it. I've heard good things about it, and I've also heard....not-so good things about it.

When you get a compressed file, you have to extract the files inside.

If it doesn't try restarting or downloading it from a different site.
Re: Paint.NET
Or you could get WinRAR archives and extract it from there (XP users do this)

why not learn to MAKE your own fractals, with a fractal creator such as ultrafractal or apophysis :l

It's what I use. As amazing as Ultrafractal is, it's a paid software, and I'm too lazy to search the internet for a cracked version.
Re: Paint.NET
It seems to hard for me to use. lol
