It's funny cause it's true. The organization (Invisible Children) doesn't do ANYTHING to actually help any of the issues. Kony may or may not be real, but either way IC is sapping money and putting it towards all the wrong causes. Only around 20% of their earnings go towards helping various issues (which they don't, because they give it to the politically corrupt local police forces of Uganda) and the rest goes towards salaries and "raising awareness".SoulReaver wrote:Here's proof :D

Always important to be critical, fact check everything, which includes seeking multiple sources.
The internet and television have this tendency to be emotional mediums. The media and other various organizations will sensationalize stories to move people to a cause, or to simply garner views/money. It isn't until you have these strict academic studies that come out when the truth starts to be made more clear.
There isn't anything wrong with promoting a cause, but anybody willing to commit money and time to it should really look into the subject.

I looked into it when I first heard about it. Not out of care on the matter, but because of skeptic curiosity. And then I found facts (which included their spending breakdown, which is available as public information) and articles and such from reputable sources, and affirmed my skepticism.BA wrote:Always important to be critical, fact check everything, which includes seeking multiple sources.
