Speaking of dragons. I watched Eragon for the 2nd time today in Film Exploration (actually we finished it from last class) the first time I saw it was last year in 8th grade.. and now I think the movie's just plain awesome.... haven't read the book.. never cared much for dragons that much, but my whole perspective has changed lol

I agree. Read the book. You'll think the movie blows. The book far surpasses the movie. I almost saw the movie without reading the book; I'm glad I didn't.
P.S. I almost wrote that sentence as "I almost saw the book before reading the movie."

READ THE BOOKS. Like, nao.

Being an avid reader, and the Inheritance Cycle being my favorite series...I saw the movie and thought it totally blew, sucked, and every adjective that would mean that I hated it. The entire movie was TERRIBLE, and they cut out over 3/4 of the book. Literally: The reason they didn't make a sequel is because of the terrible reviews, and because they cut so much out, they couldn't build a stable enough plot.

Whoa there, there have been a lot of really good book-movie adaptions, like LoTR, Harry Potter, Twilight, etc. Eragon just wasn't one of them. And the only thing worse than Eragon is The Dark is Rising. I live the book to death, but...WORST. MOVIE. EVER.

Also, the Twilight thing was only serious if you consider it a comedy.
