restriction to gravedigging
well unfortunately ive seen alot of gravediggs and its actually annoying :/
gravedig - when a topic was never replied in a month and then is replied afterwards.(for those ppl who dont kno) i dont want to name the ppl who gravedigg but i do want to stop it.
it rly annoys me
also, i think ppl should only gravedigg in shops, bump the thread by double posting so ppl can view it, and for other very good reasons. just be cuz u want to check a thread and post in it isnt a good reason. plus, it shouldnt be the reason be cuz of post count :/ thats just retarted.
so thats all i have to say.

Re: restriction to gravedigging
AGREED
I HATE it when people gravedig. HATE IT
People need to look at the date of the last post in a thread, and if its more than 2 weeks old, DONT POST
But as to what Evil said, there are sometimes situations when gravedigging isnt a big deal... sometimes it kind of makes sense. That's the problem with punishing people for it... but I personally think it's better to just make a new thread in most cases

^ When you dont want to make a duplicated thread, since its just a waste, so you bump the old thread, because your question is important. :\

There is grave digging for the sake of gaining posts and then there is grave digging for a purpose, so it should be made clear of your intentions when grave digging an old topic you find important and if it is extremely important then request an admin or Moderator to have it pinned as an announcement. Also Some of the Announcements we have on some of the boards have become quite outdated and should be removed like the Summer Goals topic by grimblade and a few others that have become outdated.

No it's relevant, announcements are to be up to date and members who post in announcements should not be considered grave digging because everyone should have a say when it comes to clan affairs late or not.

I disagree, if we had to make a new topic everytime a topic was "old" there would be too many, but why make a new one? when theres a perfectly good one right there, but there are some threads that need to be closed, ok at lot, and no one should post in them.
Also i request that posting for the sake of posting, unnecessary posts, be counted as spam.
This means Posting only if you have something meaningful to say, in threads that interest you, not because you just want to post because of the sake of posting. Also you dont have to post like 100 times in the same thread, unless you have something good to say.
Also when i person does "gravedig" PM them tell them thats gravedigging, so they know and wont do it again, if they do it again remind them, if it occurs again then inform an admin or mod,
Dont just say
lol you gravedigger lol
or
You Gravedigger you!
Thats bull spit and makes an excuse for other people just to post unnecessary post, calling that person a gravedigger.
Please take this request into consideration please.

He has the right Idea but can it be put into practice.

First this has to become a rule, then well see if it can be followed

Easier said then done, how will it be made into a rule?
Re: restriction to gravedigging
if an admin reads this and considers my request.
Thus making it into a rule.
But that is an if.

You have one who agrees with SoB. The others (with the exception of storm) are rarely on or they don't post very often.
